Sheila Pineres serves as the Undergraduate Dean. Dr. Sheila Amin Gutiérrez de Piñeres joined the faculty at UT Dallas in 1996 and served as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education prior to becoming Associate Provost in 2006. She also remains actively engaged in The Atlantic Council, the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations, and the Midwest Association of Latin American Studies.

Courtney Brecheen serves as Assistant Dean in the Office of Undergraduate Education. She manages the Academic Excellence Scholarship Program and coordinates the other scholarships offered by the OUE including Hi-TECCC Scholarship awards and Presidential Achievement Scholarships. Courtney is also responsible for coordinating various components of the Undergraduate Research Experience and the Certificate in Critical Communication Skills. Prior to joining the university, Courtney worked in the City Manager's Office for the City of Southlake while completing her Master of Public Affairs here at UT Dallas. She is now working on her Ph.D. in Public Affairs.

Anthony Champagne is Pre-Law Advisor at UT Dallas and Professor of Political Science. He is interested in Constitutional Law, Law and Medicine, Civil Liberties, and Judicial Elections at the state level. Dr. Champagne served as a U.S. Supreme Court Judicial Fellow in 1990-91. He is the recipient of three University-wide teaching awards. Dr. Champagne has written a biography of Speaker Sam Rayburn and recently co-authored a book on judicial politics in Texas. Currently he is writing a book on the Speakership of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Tina joined the Office of Undergraduate Education in October 2009. Prior to joining UT Dallas, Tina was an administrative assistant at Witt/Kieffer, the nation's eighth-largest executive search firm for health care, educational/not-for-profit and corporate/insurance/managed care. Tina enthusiastically supports the Academic Excellence Scholarship Program.

Anne Dutia has been a Pre-Law Advisor at UTD since 2006. Anne's prior experience as an attorney, law school admissions officer and law school admissions consultant allows her to help students decide if law school and a legal career are a good fit; decide which law schools would best serve their goals; and put together applications which maximize their chances of acceptance into law school. Her insider's perspective of the admissions process helps her offer insight to prospective law students, from their freshman year to their eventual matriculation to law school.

Michael Gunnin has been affiliated with the Pre-Law Program as a graduate student since 2008 and has been a full-time member of the staff since 2010. He coaches the Mock Trial and Mediation teams, and he teaches Legal Reasoning. He has taught test preparation courses for several years, specializing in LSAT Preparation.

Dr. Pantano serves as the Scientific Advisor for the Clark Foundation Summer Research Program and the Plano ISD Summer Intern Program for the Office of Undergraduate Education. He has also served as the Site-Director of the Welch Foundation Summer High School Scholar Program for the Chemistry Department since 1997. His research involves advancing the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of carbon nanomaterials, and he is a past recipient of the Outstanding Teaching Award of the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Cathy joined the UT Dallas undergraduate education staff in April 2007. Prior to coming to UT Dallas, she worked as support staff for the City of Richardson for 8 years. She is currently the administrative assistant to the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Advising and Undeclared Advising. She helps organize the First Year Leader program and manages the Non-Academic Drop Petition process.
