Nebula Scholars Program
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2024
Any continuing student can participate in the Nebula Scholars program. To opt in, please email ugdean@utdallas.edu. Fall 2024 cohort selection criteria will be posted in May 2024.
About the Program
The Nebula Scholars Program provides specialized programming to students. The program provides an enriching college experience by fostering academic achievement, network building, engagement on campus, and supports students in refining and achieving their post-undergraduate educational or career goals.
The Nebula Scholars Student Experience
Support
One-on-One Meetings: Nebula Scholars have access to a dedicated team of professionals who keep them informed about opportunities and can support them holistically, maximizing outcomes and the undergraduate experience.
Programming
The Nebula Scholars team works with the Nebula ScholarsLeadership Committee to conceptualize and host events and activities. This includes service, cultural, social, and networking events, as well as information sessions about important topics and opportunities. With so many enriching opportunities available at UT Dallas, it can be difficult to keep track of them all. Nebula Scholars receive weekly emails with up-to-date information and a curated list of both program and campus-wide events.
Leadership
Nebula Scholars can apply to serve as a leader on the Nebula Scholars Leadership Committee and/or apply to serve as a mentor for an incoming Nebula Scholars in the Freshman Mentor Program.
Nebula Scholar Commitments
We are proud to invest in our Nebula Scholars to ensure success while at UT Dallas and beyond.
As part of their participation in the program, Nebula Scholars are expected to meet with the program specialist at least twice per semester and attend at least one event in both the fall and spring semesters.
