Petitioning College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Credit
CLEP suspended testing due to growing developments with the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Please monitor the CLEP website for testing updates and further information regarding existing registrations.
Entering first year students must see their academic advisor to determine the best application of College Level Examination Program (CLEP) credit. Petitioning examination of credit should be completed within the student’s first term at UT Dallas, but not later than the first day of the student’s graduating term. A first year student must weigh the advantages of accepting college credit through CLEP exams against the possible impact such credit might have on tuition rebate eligibility and their readiness for subsequent courses in an academic sequence. UT Dallas must receive an official score report from the testing agency that provided the examination. UT Dallas does not accept examination credit from other higher education institutions’ transcripts.
In accordance with Texas Education Code 51.968, The University of Texas at Dallas will award undergraduate course credit for achieving the required CLEP examination scores below.
Courses shown in green meet Texas Core Curriculum requirements.
